Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Dion began his education career in 1998 as a two-sport athlete and Pennsylvania state Board of Governor’s academic scholarship recipient at Bloomsburg University. However, it didn’t take long for him to realize his passion for youth development and college access which lead him to transfer to Temple University. Dion is an unheralded pioneer in the field of college access and continues to quietly revolutionize urban education and youth development through his innovative ideas, unique strategies and intentional efforts. Over the last 10 years, Dion has been committed to supporting students of color all over the country to reach personal success and academic achievement through college access support and post-secondary education planning which directly impacts community change and creates education equality.
