Founded in 2014, GradTechs is a premier supplemental education organization that provides academic support, college access consulting, and educational tours to students with limited access to post-secondary educational resources. The company was created after heavy market research in the United States public school system, which revealed a serious lack of quality resources in the area of post- secondary advisement. As a result, GradTechs was formed based on a strong educational pedagogy and a student-oriented focus that has resulted in exceptional college access resource facilitation, score increases on the SAT & ACT standardized tests, superior improvement in graduation rates among high school seniors, and the most qualified college application packages to facilitate top-tier university matriculation for our students. Our Mission is to educate, empower, and inspire youth by providing educational support, life impacting experiences, and unrivaled college access resources, through strategic university & collegiate partnerships. All services and programs were designed to effectively engage students in middle school, high school, and throughout their post- secondary education experience.  Unique programs are implemented to focus specifically on helping students develop positive academic habits, skills, and confidence in the classroom and beyond.

A chaperone’s job is to ensure the safety of all the students, assist the directors in any way deemed necessary, and to enforce the behavior expectations according to the GT policies. Your job may include, but is not necessarily limited to the following descriptions.

On the Bus
On the bus your primary job is to make sure the students’ behavior is safe and in compliance with the GT policies. If you see any safety issues correct it immediately. If you see behavior issues, you should handle the situation. If it is not resolved quickly, report to the appropriate director. The primary behavior issues will deal with public displays of affection, which are not allowed – no holding hands, no lap sitting, no blanket sharing. Profanity can be an issue sometimes and is not tolerated.

Student interns will work under the supervision of a department staff member. A student intern will be provided with supplies and equipment needed to complete specified job functions. A student intern is expected to follow the GT guidelines, policy and procedure manual outlines, and is expected to participate in an orientation session facilitated by the Executive Leadership Team.
Specific tasks will be defined by the appropriate supervisor.

GT Athletics Recruiters work with GradTechs and sports teams as talent evaluators. They watch athletes perform at the high school level to determine the talent, potential and style of the players. Common duties of athletic recruiters include monitoring news sources, attending games and speaking with coaches to locate promising players, as well as watching game footage and studying statistics to determine athletes’ potential. People in this position often work outdoors and spend much of their time traveling across the city and county. GradTechs Athletic Recruiters frequently work evenings and weekends and may work long hours, especially after their sport’s season.

The College Experience Director serves for the entire school year. It is a significant position of leadership and an opportunity to serve GT in a unique way. The job will involve weekly meetings and daily visits to the high schools throughout the Northwest. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, responsible, dedicated professional who will make this job their top priority.
